Ok so this is my 3rd post 2day. WordPress 2.7 must be really shacking me.

WordPress 2.7

By the way WordPress just got a whole lot better. This CMS has changed my life…lol. I can’t wait to try it out on one of my own sites. It look’s good here on wordpress.com already. I spent a few minutes looking around and I must say I’m impressed. The world’s best CMS is becoming the universe’s best CMS. :D

My only concern is the learning curve for my clients. I have at least 30 wordpress sites and some clients find it hard enough to use wordpress 2.6.x. I might just not upgrade for some clients, but will for others.

Well that isn’t my only concern, I just thought about plugins. Hmmm. I’ll read up on plugin compatibility with 2.7 and see how much damage upgrading will do. I wont be upgrading to 2.7 on any site anytime soon though…till bug fixes start rolling in. Maybe by 2.7.2 I’ll come on board. Wait a minute, writing a blog post feels so much cooler on this 2.7 (LOL). I feel like Rambo… :D

Update: WordPress 2.7 & plugins Even – I dont see many of the plugins I use on there. I hope they’re compatible :(

Simple Tags when activated, shows an message on all admin pages as “Simple Tags can’t work with this WordPress version ! You must use Simple Tagging Plugin for it to work”. For making it work in 2.7 visit: Issue Fix for 2.7

Ok these guys shd stop playing. Simple Tags is one of the most important plugins I use.


JohnLegend.com uses Drupal

This site looked too much like a CMS i knew when I visited it. So I tried the login URLs of CMSs I know.

http://www.johnlegend.com/user/login showed the site was built on Drupal. I hate Drupal. I think it’s very powerful but it takes too much effort and too many steps to manage the CMS and make customizations. Also I think the versioning system is very bad. WordPress is the ish esp now that I’ve mastered it so much).

This makes me feel a lot better about using open source CMSs. It’s not how much your software costs, but what you make of it. I’m working on a very big website right now built with WordPress. It wont even look like it when I’m done.

JERUSALEM (CNN) — An Israeli archaeologist has discovered what he says is the earliest-known Hebrew text, found on a shard of pottery that dates to the time of King David from the Old Testament, about 3,000 years ago.

There is something big going on in the Naija music scene. I don’t know if you can feel it but I can. Maybe I shd also do a collabo and launch my career. But then who’s gonna take over the internet? naah. I’ll stick to my profession…lol
